The Roberts International Festival is a fun filled, annual, family event that will be held on Friday, October 19th, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 pm. This year’s theme is “Myths & Legends from around the World.”
The International Festival is an opportunity for the families of Roberts Elementary and the community to celebrate all the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students. It is an event filled with food, music, performances and our Annual Fashion show which showcases clothing and costumes worn around the world.
Volunteer parents are needed to make displays about their countries and provide food samples and an entertainment program. On the day of the festival, students will be given a passport to bring to the festival to answer questions about different countries. The class that hands in the most passports receives a prize.
The week of the festival, parents (Country Ambassadors) may make a short presentation to their child’s class about the country of their choice. On the day of the festival, there is also a colorful parade to kick start the day.
